Shop for Everyone on Your Nice List at the Downtown Holiday Market

Now through Dec. 23, the Downtown Holiday Market will grace the streets of DC, centered at 8th and F streets NW. This is the 15th year of this event, which is considered one of the region’s most notable shopping experiences. Visiting the market will put you in touch with more than 150 regional artisans, crafters, and boutique businesses. There’s no shortage of diverse gift items, including jewelry, pottery, and paintings. While shopping or browsing, you’ll be able to enjoy lively seasonal entertainment and snacks. USA Today’s Readers’ Choice voted this event to be the best holiday festival in 2016, while readers of the Washington City Paper considered it runner-up best art festival in the same year! The lineup of exhibitors and performers will vary, so check the event’s website to plan your visit accordingly.

Situated across from the Capital One Arena, the market is convenient to the Metro and nearby parking. The market is open noon to 8 p.m. daily.
