14&U Farmers Market: Home to Seasonal Produce and More Near The Lockwood

April 29, 2021

A great way to support the local economy? Shopping at local farmers markets! There are a bunch in the area, but one of the best is the 14&U Farmer’s Market. This small market is easy to maneuver and rarely overly crowded, so you can usually get exactly what you need without spending too much time in the process.

They have a few vendor staples that come every single Saturday morning, rain or shine, to make sure you have what you need that week. Garner’s Produce and Shenandoah Seasonal bring all the fruits and veggies. Every week their booths boast the colors of the rainbow. Purple eggplant, yellow and green squash, peppers, red radishes… It’s just as beautiful as it is delicious! Then, if you’re looking for something to nibble on pre-made, The Chinese Street Market Pop-Up DC serves up authentic street food-style dumplings that you won’t be able to stop eating. Finally, Plantmasters brings all the beautiful blooms you need to keep your apartment bursting with color all season long.

The 14&U Farmers Market reopens for the season in May and runs through November, every Saturday.
